Somewhere, at some point in time, at some hospital in Philadelphia, the odd creature called Michael M. Breggar was born. After many years of trial and error, he grew up and became the world’s leading expert in fictional card magic authors and feral cat dialects.
For some unknown reason, he also rose through the leadership ranks of several global management consulting firms, where his “serious side” was exposed. But deep down, everyone knew Michael as a world-class idiot and magic aficionado.
Michael has put his idiocy on the line with eight best-selling books, the long-running monthly column, AUTO-MAGIC,  in the venerable publication The Linking Ring and an assemblage of amiable  marketed products featuring his trademarked sleight-lite magic and outrageous presentations. He remains ever so humble that his craziness has been so embraced by audiences and the magic-community at large.
Michael is magician member of the Magic Castle, F.F.F.F. (a.k.a. "4F', a.k.a. "Fechter's Finger Flicking Frolics"), The International Brotherhood of Magicians, The Society of American Magicians, and was once a member of the Magic Land of Allakazam Magic Club.
He remains a diligent fan of Philly Sports (who else would dedicate a card trick to a pro football team?), is an avid reader, cruciverbalist and fan of “West Coast” genre Jazz.
He is also a fan of pre-1980’s MAD Magazine. This should come as no surprise.
He lives a cheesesteak’s-throw away from downtown Philly and is a diligent order-taker from his lovely wife Marilyn. Son Seth has taken up the Breggar footprint in Philly where he works, loves taking in the history, art museums, great restaurants and dive bars.
